In honor of Sretenje – Serbia’s Statehood Day, the colors of our flag once again shone on the Burj Khalifa in Dubai, and one of the most significant landmarks in Abu Dhabi. This magnificent gesture, made possible with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, testifies to the strong friendship and brotherly relations between Serbia and the UAE.
Sretenje is a symbol of Serbian freedom, sovereignty, and statehood. On this day, we remember the courage of our ancestors who, more than two centuries ago, began the struggle for independence, celebrating the values upon which our nation stands.
The Serbian Embassy in Abu Dhabi expresses its deep gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for this wonderful gesture, which serves as yet another confirmation of the strong friendship between our peoples. May the spirit of cooperation, mutual respect, and a shared vision for a better future continue to unite Serbia and the UAE.
